To avoid running into the car in front of her, she turns her car to the left, running head on into the car Anthony Beverly was driving. Anthony remained in the hospital for 9 months, in intensive care, in and out of coma for 3 months. She was not injured at all.

The injuries Anthony suffered from included a ruptured liver, spleen, broken left arm, left hip, left ankle, and a torn aorta. To repair the aorta, the doctors had to cut off the blood supply to his spine which resulted in nerve damage to the lower part of his anatomy. He was trained in wheel chair use and told that he would never walk again. As a result of his situation Anthony has continued to be an positive example to everyone he meets.

You see, because of his being introduced to and the uses of herbs, he feels that his quality of life has improved tremendously. He says "Everyday, I must tell someone that they don't have get sick, I must tell them about the uses of Ancestral Foods (Herbs, vitamins and minerals), people must know that they don't have to get or stay sick."
